Simple materials to make paper jewellery by Maggie Bergman

Learn a few simple techniques and use materials you already have!

Making Paper jewellery is the most fun way to use your paper stash!

So many of us have stacks and stacks of gorgeous papers that are just begging to be turned into something new! I know, I’m one of them!

Whether you’re into Gelli printing, Collage, Cutting papers, Printmaking, Illustration, Graphic design, or all of them, any of these can create a unique piece of jewellery that is inexpensive, and can be designed to compliment your clothes!

Most paper techniques are simple, you’ve probably tried many of them before, and the processes in this class are as well, you’ll pick up the techniques quickly and be making your own bangles in no time at all!

And most likely the tools and materials you’ll need for this class are probably waiting on your workbench already, there are probably just a couple of little things to add!

In this class I willl show you how I make my Layered Bangles

We’ll look at all aspects of the process:

  • Selecting the papers

  • What to look out for and how to test your chosen card

  • How to make the most of the decorative papers you’ve got already

  • How to shape the bangles

  • How to glue the layers (without getting wrinkles!)

  • Finishing to get a professional look

  • Coatings to ensure they are water-resistant and easy to clean

Classic Paper Bangles by Maggie Bergman

Just added to the class!

Making classic round bangles requires a different technique from the layered bangles.

To make sure you know how there are done I’ve added another module of lessons just to cover these. No extra tools required!

Hello, I’m Maggie Bergman

And I’d be so happy to show you how I use paper for making all kinds of jewellery!

I’m a jewellery teacher and I teach in-person classes for silver jewellery in my studio in Nerang, Queensland (Australia)

But I have been a paper lover all my life! So now I’ve decided it’s time to marry the two and create paper jewellery of all kinds.

I’m having more fun now than ever before in my life, using a simple setup and inexpensive materials are a very liberating way to create jewellery.

I’m looking forward to have you join me on this journey!
